THE FIVE KEYS

At Keys we believe that every person has a purpose and naturally possesses the qualities needed to fulfil that purpose. You have a unique set of qualities that are innate and come naturally to you. By discovering these qualities and putting them into practice, you can make a real difference in your environment!

Keys distinguishes five different ‘keys’ that together form your unique set of qualities. Each key gives access to something that makes you who you are. They provide insight into your unique potential and the valuable contribution you make in living and working with others.

THE GIFTS

… the heart of your character.

Your gifts show how you naturally make a difference in the lives of the people around you. Using these gifts comes naturally to you. It is a reflex, something you do without thinking. These gifts make you unique and allow you to add an indescribable amount of value to someone else’s life.

Context – In relation to the people around you.

The Gifts – helping, giving, encouraging, compassion, teaching, intuition, leadership

Context – When in contact with others.

THE LENSES

… that determine your perspective.

You naturally look at the world in a very unique way. There are some things that strike you more than others when you look at situations, people and your surroundings. We call this unique perspective your ‘lens’. Your lenses reveal where your attention goes, and what you find deeply important. Based on what you see, you then act in a way that is natural to you. By sharing what you see with others, you can bring fresh insight. Your unique perspective is your strength!

Context – Where people work together and share a common goal.

The lenses – organisation, vision, market, people, knowledge

Context – When working or living together with others.

THE FOCUS

… the area where you make a difference.

You are naturally oriented towards a particular area. Some people focus on individuals and specific tasks, while others look more naturally at the wider world and larger systems. We call this area your ‘focus’. Your focus determines where you naturally operate at your best and where you want to make a lasting impact. This is where you thrive most and where your efforts flow most naturally.

Context – Where people live or work together.

The focus areas – Individual, team, organisation, society, world.

Context – When working together with others towards a shared goal.

THE TALENTS

… you work with.

In the process from idea to realisation, your contribution is invaluable. You have natural talents that allow you to make a difference. Your talents not only determine what you are good at, but also how you naturally approach a task or solve a problem. When you get to know your talents, you know exactly where you can perform at your best!

Context – The realisation flow: processes where something is created or realised.

The talents – imagining, creating, designing, analysing, structuring, organising, overseeing, managing, doing

Context – In any process in which something
is realised.

THE VALUES

… that drive you.

You have deeply rooted beliefs and ideals that guide the way you live. These values determine what you find important, why certain things affect you so strongly, and, most importantly, what drives you in everything you do. With your values, you consciously or unconsciously influence the culture around you.

Context – Where people live or work together.

The values– humility, respect, faith, beauty, stability, truth, peace, freedom, decisiveness, life, righteousness, faithfulness, joy

Context – When in contact with others.
